In Queensland, our beautiful weather and outdoor lifestyles make outdoor entertaining areas in our homes essential and with recent events surrounding COVID-19, enjoying the outdoors in a controlled way is more important than ever.
Our client in Ormeau had a large patio that they wanted to screen in to extend their indoor entertaining space outside, while simultaneously keeping out intruders, bugs, and the afternoon sun.
With this brief, Bella 316 Barrier Screens were our go-to screens for this patio enclosure. Bella 316 screens are constructed from 316 Marine Grade stainless steel and are specifically designed to withstand our tough Queensland conditions.
A key aspect of our consultations at site measures is working out exactly what our customers want from their screens and how we can best achieve it, no details are overlooked. With this in mind, we wanted to make this space not only visually appealing but extremely functional as well. Our client’s patio faced their side gate on one side and their pool on the other, so for ultimate functionality, we created two door openings with bi-parting doors.
With these two entry points being used often for pool and side access, we wanted to make the available door opening space as large as possible. We built a total of eight Bella 316 screens with four of these screens being over 1500 wide! These dimensions optimised all of the available space and gave a massive opening of 3 metres wide – perfect for kids, parties and dips in the pool. This enables the whole family to completely open up the area whenever they want.
Both sets of bi-parting doors are key lockable. Not only does this give important home security from intruders, but it also provides additional pool safety and greatly reduces the chances of children entering the pool by accident.
This was a huge job that we were able to turnaround in three weeks from measure to installation. Our clients are extremely happy with the end result and can’t wait to entertain their friends and family in their new space.
